About Us
Degu Samrawi began with the youth of Bishoftu and today brings together young members across several cities.
Our Story
When the association started its work, it provided holiday food to the needy. Today, we are able to reach nearly a hundred needy people on each of the four holidays a year: New Year, Christmas, Ramadan, and Easter.
In addition to the current holiday support, 1. We support families by renting their homes permanently and providing monthly financial support 2. Every year in the winter, we provide learning materials to students under the motto "Let's teach them" 3. Twice a year, we provide hygiene support to sisters and mothers under the motto "For my sister" 4. During the winter, we distribute clothes to our people on the streets under the motto "Let's dress them with love" 5. We provide a voice for the voiceless poor in every home under the motto "Let's be a voice"
Our Motto
"Youth for Goodness" — youth are known in society as caring supporters, fresh energy, and the future stewards of the country. We work to show this in action.
Our Achievements
What our association has accomplished over the past five years.
Delivered holiday packages to 100+ people at each of 20+ holidays.
Provided school supplies to 100+ students for three consecutive years.
Held feeding and clothing programs for people living on the street.
For the second consecutive year, "For My Sister" has provided hygiene care to 80+ sisters in three rounds each year.
Rented homes for 4 people; cover groceries for 3 people.
Provided full medical insurance coverage for 3 families.
